BROKE ACTOR follows the pursuit of an Acting Career with a twist. Where most film and TV of the same subject matter follow the everyday struggles of Actors – Broke Actor takes this on from the point of view of Australians from Ethnically Diverse backgrounds. Beyond the ‘Starving Artist’ narrative, the series takes viewers out of audition rooms and into the real lives of each character, delving further into family expectations, stereotypes, typecasting & what it truly means to be ‘Australian’.
